Eel, yak, asp, boa, wren, bul, cow, ape, seal, ant, vole, collie, fox, bat, ox, lion, owl
Plus char, hart and hind for three bonus points
But these are more difficult.
Char is a fish, related to trout and/or salmon and the hart is a kind of deer, while the hind is either a fish or a deer, depending on your usage.

Dig over the potato patch to find small furry caterpillars, but don't yell! Owls can be found swooping for edible rodents, earwigs or perhaps bluebottles in the undergrowth. The brown bear, Rob, lacks grace and may look like an ogre, enter at your own risk! Peacocks can be found showing their colourful wares, which look fantastic when viewed with our ultraviolet torch.

There are 8 numbers spelled out as words in the paragraph below but they are hidden within one or more words.

As an example the word eight could be hidden inside one word, height or between 2 words, like this;

Where has the fat worm gone? He was wriggling away from

my reel even before I had the hook on it! If I’ve lost him, I’ll be

to catch plenty of fish. It’s not often that a worm of ours gets away!

With reel bait in hand, I know I can catch

How quickly you can find out what is so unusual about this paragraph?
It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing is wrong with it. In fact nothing is wrong with it!
Still this paragraph is highly unusual.
Study it and think about it, but you may not find anything odd. If you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do it without any coaching.
