Best answer

As 1+4=5 i.e.(1*4+1)
2+5=12 i.e(2*5+2)
3+6=21 i.e(3*6+3)
So 8+11=96 as (8*11+8)=96.

You have to add the numbers from the previous problems to get the answer
1+4=5
2+5=12 (1+4+2+5=12)
3+6=21 (1+4+2+5+3+6=21)
8+11=? (1+4+2+5+3+6+8+11=40)

40 is the answer

unless you say its 1+4+2+5+3+6+4+7+5+8+6+9+7+10+8+11

Which in reduction comes back to x + y =x*y + x

Which at last gives the same answer....96
