A woman was reading in the basement when her husband, thinking the basement was empty, turned off the light. The woman continued reading. There were no lamps or flashlights and the light her husband turned off didn't come back on. How was the woman able to read?

The woman must have been reading braille as she was blind and hence unaffected by the light switching off
Another explanation would be that the basement had a ventilation vent through which sun light entered and she was able to continue reading with that (If she was not blind).
