On Christmas , A beggar earns 71 rupees in form of 20-paisa and 25-paisa.
He collects total of 324 coins.

Can you tell me how many number of 20-paisa and 25-paisa he got ?

Let x be the number of 20 paise coins then there are going to be (324 - x) 25 paise coins. In other words
20*x + 25*(324-x) = 71*100 = 7100
20x - 25x + 8100 = 7100
5x = 1000
x = 200
ie., the begger got 200 [20 paise] coins and 124 [25 paise] coins.

Correct answer 124 coins would be of 25 paisa and 200 coins would be of 20 paisa.
124*25 + 200 * 20 = 7100 paisa (71 Rupees)
124 + 200 = 324 coins
