First think of a person who lives in disguise,
who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next tell me what is always the last thing to mend,
the middle of middle the end of the end?
And finally give me a sound often heard during the search of a hard-to-find word.
Now string them together and answer me this,
which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?

Ponder upon a creature who exists in disguise
Who deals in mysteries and has nothing to tell you except lies
Now think about what is constantly the final thing to mend
What is the middle of the middle and the end of the end?
Now ponder upon the sound you must have often heard
When you were looking for the hard-to-find word
If you can tie them all together and answer this
Tell me what living creature you will always loathe to kiss?

My first part sounds like what we call a person who lives in disguise;

Then comes something that is first to die and the end to end;

The last part is like the sound which is often heard in search of every unknown word.

Put it all together and answer this: which creature am I talking about?

You write on me and when told to I can keep secrets.

In places never seen. I spin like a top.

But if you don’t take care of me I am lost.

What am I?
