If we call name S- square, C- circle, K- cut sections on the corners of the square by the circle, then we have the steps as pictured below and calculation is:
Shaded area = C+2K-2*C/4+2K=C/2+4K
As 4K=S-C, the shaded area will = C/2+S-C=S-C/2=14^2- pi*(14/2)^2/2=196- 49*pi/2 = ~119 cm^2
