let first no. be x and second no. be (x+1)
Now accrdng to qsn:
x+(x+1)=179
2x=179-1
2x=178
x=89
So, the first no. is 89.
Second no. =x+1=89+1=90

Therefore the two consecutive no.s whose sum is 179 are 89 and 90.
