r (Radius of Circle) - 8 cm
Pi - 3.142

Connect the center of the circles and you will get a square area of 16*16 cm2 ----(a)
Now get the area of quarter of circle - 1/4*pi*8*8
Area of such 4 quarters - 64pi or 201 -----(b)

Area of shared region: 256 - 201 = 55
