(5x + 8x) + 22 = (3y + 7y)
13x + 22 = 10y
5x = 3y (The new mixture has only coloured water added to it)
y = (5/3)x
x = 6
Therefore the Initial sugar solution quantity is
5x = 5 × 6 = 30 litres.
