The longest piece is three times as long as the middle sized piece and the shortest piece is 19 cm shorter than the longest piece.
Find the length of the shortest piece (in cm).

Let X= shortest Piece
Y= middle Pierce
Z = longest piece
We can write a system of there equations,
Z = 3Y
X = Z-19
X+Y+Z =37
Sovint t'he system, X = 3,85cms
