Suppose that you are trapped on the surface of a frozen lake. The surface is so smooth and ideal that there is no friction at all. You cant make any grip on the ice and no wind is blowing to help you out. You have just a mobile phone with you which has got no reception disabling you to call for help.

I can just threw that mobile with full power. Now due to newton's third law of motion, there will be same reaction for every action, and there is no friction. we will continuosly moving till we reached to some frictional area.

Newton's third law says every action has an equal and opposite reaction
We should throw the mobile phone in a direction opposite to where we want to reach
The reaction force will help to bring us at the bank of the lake as there is no friction to oppose it
We should throw it hard as Possible
