One cut from the east to west direction. (2 parts)
Second cut from north to south direction. (2 * 2 = total 4)
Third cut in the middle -> top to down direction. (4 * 2 = total 8)

Cut the cake into 4 pieces, stack the
pieces and cut along the middle.
Hence, eight pieces of cake!
