Upon slicing each corner of a cube with a straight plane cut, how many total edges would be there in the remains?

Visualize a cube. You know it has 6 faces, 8 corners, and 12 edges. Now, imagine a knife slicing away each corner with a straight plane cut. How many total edges are there now?

Each of the 8 corners would be replaced by a triangle of 3 edges. Therefore 24 new edges would be added to the existing 12 edges so total number of edges are 36.

I beg your pardon. I believe the original edges will be sliced away.

By cutting single corner of the cube 3 edges will be formed.
The cube has 8 corners.
hence cutting each corner will add 3*8=24 edges to the cube.
By default the cube has 12 edges.
Therefore,After cutting each corner of the cube there will be 12+24= 36 edges.
Answer is 36 edges.
