Willie Limond
In July 2007 Limond was defending his Commonwealth lightweight title against Olympic silver medallist Khan, who at this stage in his career had a 12-0 record with nine knockouts. Limond was 28-1, his only loss coming against fellow Scot and future WBO super featherweight champion Alex Arthur some four years earlier. The Glasgow fighter knew the hype that surrounded Khan, who, at 20 years old had been fast-tracked to the top by promoter Frank Warren. But on that night at the O2 Arena in London, Limond became the first fighter to put Khan on the deck with a flurry of punches in the sixth round.
