Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav
KD Jadhav (Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav) was the first Indian to win an Olympic medal (silver) in individual sports - Wrestling - in 1952. Norman Pritchard participated from India in 1900 Olympics, however, he was from British parentage. Before KD Jadhav, India could only win medal in the team sport - Hockey.
