Alain Prost was the first Frenchman to have been Formula One World Champion. He is a four-time Formula One Drivers' Champion. From 1987 until 2001 Prost held the record for most Grand Prix victories and is considered as one of the greatest F1 drivers ever. In 1985 Prost became the first French Formula One World Champion.
