Bob Simpson was the first fielder to hold 100 test catches. He played for New South Wales, Western Australia and Australia, captaining the national team from 1963–64 until 1967–68, and again in 1977–78. He took his 100th catch in his 54th Test and finished with 110 catches from 62 Tests. He later had a highly successful term as the coach of the Australian team. He is also known as Bobby or Simmo.
