Normal LTE UEs interacts with the network more frequently as compare to IoT devices. So is it make sense to have same configurations for UEs and IoT devices w.r.t to Paging procedure ?
IoT devices' batteries would be long lasting if DRX internal can be extended compare to normal LTE UEs. DRX would play a major role to save batteries. As per my knowledge so far, 3GPP has defined a different set of DRX configuration for IoT kind of devices. Communication involves among IoT devices is known as "high-latency communication".
