Kernel not configured for semaphores on Fedora 24?

Each time I turn off Fedora 24, I get the following message about 50 times printed in the console:

Kernel not configured for semaphores (System V IPC). Not using udev synchronisation code.
device-mapper: remove ioctl on fedora_alpha-root failed: Device or resource busy Command failed

What does that mean?

It means you should follow this bugzilla....

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1359352
thanks but I do not see any workaround.
Probably just wait for an update.
I am inclined to believe this bug might not be related to the original problem - At least not the incarnation, I am facing ;)

What I am seeing on several machines, is larger series of the error  message above rushing through very rapidly (

I think there are multiple ways this shows up and it isn't necessary that a shutdown hangs.

FWIW, in my case the shutdown is delayed until those messages pop up and then the shutdown happens quite quickly. It may, as noted in the bugzilla, have to do with the installation of the VirtualBox bits in my case.

Other than the delay in shutting down, I've not noticed any "damage".

I use fedora 23 with kernel 4.2.5 to run a win10 vm using qemu/kvm with vga passthrough (vfio).

I purchased a raid pci card, the problem is got is the compatibility for the driver stop at kernel 4.0.4. Is it possible to downgrade the kernel to install the driver?

If I do will I still be able to run my virtual machine without changing everything?

I have been having a problem with TB for quite some time, and I am getting rather tired of the problem.

Images in messages that are sent to me by users of windows are not displayed in TB. Rather, all I see are empty boxes where images are supposed to be.

This is not to say that every message I get from windows users containing images are treated this way by TB.

I am just saying that some individuals I know, who use windows, and send me email containing images are treated this way by TB.

Is there a setting that I need to set?
