As per my understanding data inactivity is nothing but user inactivity. An eNodeB monitors data flow for an UE. For that it runs user inactivity timer and if there is no data exchange for the duration of user inactivity, eNodeB release radio connection with UE. This way eNodeB manages radio resources and get back the unused radio resources from idle UE.
For example if a GBR bearer is established for a UE and no data is seen on that specific GBR bearer and instead the UE uses the default bearer alone, can the eNB delete the GBR bearer ?
Also is this scenario practically seen during field testing ?
Does the user inactivity timer use to just save radio resource or any other benefit of it ?
What is the use of DRXi inactivity timer and DRX re transmission timer? What is the difference between these two timer?
