Can We apply CQI directly after UE reports or should we need to take care of something?

Since eNodeB can have information about channel quality with finer granularity through selected
subband CQI, wouldn’t it make sense to have MCSs defined on a per‐RB (or a group of RB) basis rather
than a single MCS per UE across all allocated RBs for a codeword?

Hi,

This is implementation specific, As far as i saw if we have link adaptation then we cannot directly apply the CQI to MCS. We should have own algorithm to decide what MCS to use for particular CQI.
For E.g each CQI value has upper MCS and lower MCS. Based on the CQI (weather increasing or decreasing) we can pick the upper MCS or lower MCS
