Is there any limit on Max BSR transmission? if eNB doesn't give grant to BSR then what happens?

Suppose eNB doesn't give grant to BSR, How long UE will be waiting for the grant?Is there any recovery mechanism.

there is something called BSR Prohibit timer . Once UE sends BSR then it starts the BSR timer, until it expires it will not resend the BSR. After expiry UE will send the BSR again.

Hi Himani thanks for this question. frankly i even didn't about this, read through some documents.
RRC configures MAC with Periodic-BSR timer and retxBSR timer values (Mac-main-config IE).So even after eNB doesn't responds to any BSR, UE will initiate RA or SR.
