Fail to install guest (windows xp) on virtual box?

I did a fresh install of LinuxMint, v 16, Petra and through the Software Manager installed VirtualBox (non free version)

VrtualBox v4.3
Host: LinuxMint v16. Petra with the MATE DE
Guest: Windows XP Home

The following Error Message appears when attempting to install Window XP.

"Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows XP.
Failed to load VMMR0r0(VERR_SVM_DISABLED"

Clicking on Details, reveals

"Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0X800040005)
Component: Console
Interface: IConsole (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)"

Is there someone on the list who can tell me what may have gone wrong,

I assume you run VBox on a 64-bit AMD host but AMD-V is disabled. On 64-bit hosts we assume that all guests can run in 64-bit mode which is not true in your case.

How to fix: Either
1. Enable AMD-V in your BIOS settings (preferred) or
2. Execute 'VBoxManage modifyvm VM_NAME --longmode off' for your guest.

I found a problem at this moment. I need to get full screen mode when run D.O.S. on a Windows XP Guest. I hit "Alt + Enter" and go to full screen but this screen no cover all the window. This happend on both
method conecctions, i say, over RDP or running directly from my Ubuntu Destkop Box.
This full screen looks like a 50% of the windows and centered.

Can i get a really full screen ?

I am trying to virtualise a DOS guest on a windows 7 host because the physical box is going to break in short (386, very old). Unfortunately there is a software running using a hardware dongle on parallel port. AFAIK there is no virtual parallel port in vbox, and anyways it probably would not work with a dongle.

So how can I configure vbox to exclusively use the hosts parallel port?

Oracle Virtual box is heavy option for me to launch virtual machines. I am looking for a lite weight hypervisor option or any other solutions which make my life easy.

I have switched my laptop to Ubuntu 12.04 (14.04 was not out then) from Windows XP. Everything works great except for two things:

Google Earth does not recognize his on-board VGA adapter (Intel 945) as capable to manage 3D textures. and I cannot get his old Lexmark x2620 printer to work. Can anyone suggest some pointer.

I am using Virtualbox on a Windows 10 host system, a Fedora 25 guest system, and with guest additions.

I recently had a Windows 10 automatic update and this problem did not seem to occur before that. I have tried to uninstall the updates, but I think some of the changes are left behind.

The crash seems to happen while I am accessing the internet on the host system and working in the guest system.

The blue screen of death has the following error type in it SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Has anyone else been experiencing this ?
