SIPTO is used to selectively offload the IP Traffic over internet by avoiding the mobile core network for the Data traffic.
Selected Internet IP Traffic Offload (SIPTO) enables routing of selected IP traffic through either the most optimal path in an operator’s core network or bypassing it completely. For example, an operator may decide to only offload best-effort services while still supporting VOIP calls over its core network.
