In LTE there is only two states of RRC one is ideal and another one is connected. In 3g there are 4 states: 1.CELL_DCH STATE 2.CELL_FACH STATE 3.CELL_PCH STSTE 4.URA_PCH STATE
Can anyone clarify my doubt In UMTS RRC messages, all messages having UE identity or not?
At broad level what could be the possible role of RRC layer in LTE/UMTS and does it really necessary for LTE protocol stack?
