In long Drx cycle, in Drx ON period eNodeB should not schedule any data to UE,Because UE will not be listening to PDCCH channel. eNB has to schedule data to UE in only Drx OFF period . But if eNB wants to schedule data to UE immediately then eNB MAC can dissable DRX by sending MAC control element and then schedule the data.

please correct me if i wrong.

How eNB will send the MAC control element to UE to disable drx as UE is is in long drx cycle. if UE is in long drx cycle then UE receiver would be off so UE can not read any thing.
sorry ..small correction MAC controll element (drx command ) is used for to force  UE to go drx mode  not to dissable. In Drx ON eNB can not schedule any data to UE.

It is eNB who has configured UE for DRX. So both are in Sync i.e eNB knows when UE is active(DRX OFF).
Actually scheduling becomes bit difficult as once It has scheduled the data , Inactivity timer starts so all DRX Params are taken into consideration for effective scheduling.

As far as I know during the DRX sleep period, UE does not receive any downlink data. The eNodeB caches data until UE enters DRX Active period again.

The behaviour is same for the short and long DRX cycle, Only additional stuff in long DRX cycle is that UE runs the long DRX sleep cycle timer during the long DRX sleep periods.
