They should already be there - just unplumbed. Add suitable stanzasin /etc/network/interfaces.

When you run ifconfig in the guest OS, do you see the extra interfaces?

And just to clarify, do you mean that your VM has four ports, and you would like Ubuntu, which is the guest OS installed on the VM, to be able to use all four ports, so that you have something like eth0, eth1, eth2 and eth3? Bear in mind that for some kinds of virtual port - such as bridged - you need to have actual real ethernet ports on the host machine!

I'm facing some trouble setting up a 13.04 server (amd64) which I want to use Ethernet bonding and NFS mounted volumes.

I've read the ubuntu tutorial about Ethernet bonding but seems the machine try to mount NFS volumes BEFORE the network comes up , the result is the volumes are not mounted at boot up.

Please help.

I had Ubuntu 12.04 installed in Virtualbox which ran OK, if a bit slow, until recently when I did a bunch of updates. As is usually the case after kernel updates, I had to reinstall the guest additions to get
back full screen and auto-resize. However, what I got instead when I restarted, was the following message:

"The system is running in low graphics mode Your screen, graphics card and input device settings could not be detected correctly. You will need to configure these yourself"

It then drops into a menu with buttons where most of the options don't seem to work and eventually bring me to a command line login. I've tried a complete reinstall followed by an upgrade to 12.10 but
again the installation of guest additions bring me to the same point If the graphics settings can be configured I'll need some advice on how to go about it

I don't think I can provide log output as cutting/pasting between guest and host no longer functions.

This is Virtualbox 4.2.12. The kernel is 3.2.0-43-generic-pae i686

I am using VirtualBox in Mac OSX. I have a guest OS that writes to serial port. I want to view the output on the serial port. Since I do not have physical COM1, I have enabled host-pipe to write to a local domain socket. What tool can I use to view the serial port output?

I installed virtualbox from the synaptic package manager and then loaded windows 7 and also installed the extensions pack. For some reason when I plug in usb devices they can't be accessed by the virtual windows 7. Every time it says failed to install drivers for the usb device when I plug in a usb memory stick, or iphone or etc. What can I do to get usb support to work, the usb devices are shown in the lower portion of the virtualbox window but won't work in windows 7.

There are two connection, ethernet and WiFi. Ethernet has higher priority than wifi, so connectivity service tears down the lower priority connection. The result is in wifi setting UI, the wifi shows "on", but no APs can be shown and mirracast also can not be used, as both wifi and p2p interface are disabled.

Are there some ways to keep both ethernet and wifi connection?
