Who are involved in Scrum cycle?
In scrum we have below roles:
Product Owner:
He/she is a person who is in full control of product. He is the one who will be prioritizing the scope for next sprint and taking decisions when team needs him. So, it is really important that he is available to team all the time.
Team
Team is group of members who will be working on the requirements and come up with a testable product. As per the scrum team should be self managing, self organizing. Number of team members can very from 3-9. Team should be having mix of all skill required to complete the sprint.
Scrum Master
Scrum Master is a facilitator between Product Owner and Team. He is the one who continuously talks with team . His responsibility is not manage the team. He works with team and remove any impediments that are obstructing the team. He also works with Product owner to build scope for next sprint and discuss progress on the current sprint. He motivates the team to keep going.
How long does a scrum cycle last?
Scrum sprint is generally 3-6 weeks long. Most commonly used sprint cycle is 4 weeks. At the beginning of sprint team starts with prioritized scope which they can complete in 1 sprint cycle and at the end they produce a testable product which can be given to users to test and use.
In a project we can have multiple sprint until product owner thinks he has delivered of stories which can give value to clients.
