What is looped message in diameter protocol ?

When a diameter request message is received by a node which has already received this message earlier, known as looped message. Route-Record AVP is used to detect loop. When a node receives a request message it goes though list of Route-Record AVP and search for it's identity. If its identity is already present then it considers this message is a looped message.
