I'm not sure if this will help what you are trying to do, but I was able to get the full Java development environment on Fedora 21 64-bit by running these commands:

 yum install -y java-1.8.0-openjdk
 yum install -y java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel

For the browser plugin:

 yum install -y icedtea-web

To turn on the Java Console:

 System->Preferences->System->IcedTea-Web Control Panel

My 64-bit Fedora 21 is up-to-date.
In the last few days, suspend is asking for authentication. AFAIK, nothing has changed, other than updates.

Any suggestions?

I don't know why, but after rebooting my f21 server it goes to the 'initial setup' screen. It's already all setup - how can I get out of this?
