A concerning form of SARS-CoV-2 was found in the mink and was transferring to humans
SARS-CoV-2 is the virus which causes COVID-19. The scientists worried that one of the mutated form of SARS-CoV-2 found in the mink, and which was then infecting humans, could potentially hamper the effectiveness of a future vaccine. Spain, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands and the US were also affected.
