total no. of balls=5+4+3=12
no. of black balls=3
probability of choosing a black ball=3C1/12
=3/12
=1/4
total probability=1
probability of not choosing a black ball=1-(1/4)
=3/4

Of the 12 balls 9 are not black. So the probability is 9/12 = 75%

Let us calculate the probability of extracting a black ball
P = number of black balls / total number of balls = 3 / 12 = 0,25
Then, the probability of extracting a ball which is not black is just the contrary , P1 = 1 - P = 1 - 0,25 = 0,75
