Two trains each 414 meter long, are running in opposite directions on parallel tracks. If their speeds are 39 km/hr and 69 km/hr respectively, what would be the time taken by the slower train to pass the driver of the faster one?

0.23 minute. Since the two trains are moving in opposite direction the relative speed is found by adding i.e. 39+69=108 kmph. Since time for one length i.e. 414 meter or 0.414 km is required time in hour t=dist/speed = 0.414/39 hour or 0.23 minute.
