If you reverse the digits of Alan's age it is the same as Brian's age. The difference between their ages is twice Carol's age and Brian is 10 times as old as Carol. What are their ages? (You might need a fraction)

Assuming Alan's age > Brian's age
Alan = 10a + b
Brian = 10b + a
Brian = 10 Carol
Alan - Brian = 9a - 9b = 2 Carol = (10b + a)/5
a/b = 5/4
Taking Alan = 54 years, then Brian = 45 years & Carol = 9/2 = 4.5 years.

ab-ba=2x. So 54-45=9(2x=9 >x=4.5)
ba=10x. Then 45=10*4.5 .
So ages of Alan=54, brain=45, Carol=4.5
