Say bandwidth is getting half in some band (i.e. from 20 MHz to 10 MHz in the same band), should we reduce transmit power to half to keep same coverage?
When you reduce the bandwidth to half your number of RBs are also reduced to half and coverage remains the same.
So in short you don't require a change in the power.
When BW is reduced to half, the number of PRBs are also reduced to half and the power per RE is increased. So yes it should have an impact on coverage. In order to have same coverage, physical optimization might be needed.
AFAIK we have a concept of power saving at UE and it adjust the power requirement based on signal strength. Is there similar concept of eNode B and also is there any impact of the frequency band of eNodeB in which it is operating.
First question "How to know the number of supported transmit antennas at the eNodeB ?" and what the significance this information makes for an UE ?
It seems that there is no need for UE to know them from the physical layer's point of view. Do these parameters have an impact with the process of RF module in the UE?
Can someone please tell me "How much radio resource is granted on PUSCH" for msg3 (RRC Connection Request or RRC Connection Re-establishment Requet or RRC Connection Reconfiguration Complete).
