What are various difference in DL CQI and UL CQI ?

Which entities or layers calculate UL cqi and DL cqi ??? How this values are estimated and reported? Please help

Hi,

As per my understanding there is no UL CQI concept ,

UE will always report CQI which is applicable for DL, CQI is calculated in UE PHY layer and transmitted to ENB. For UL channel quality ENB will use SRS transmission from UE or we can derive UL CQI from UL DATA SNR
