Range of P-RNTI in lte ?

I come to this question when I was reading about paging procedure in lte. How UE know its P-RNTI ? Is network tells to UE in any signalling message or UE itself generates ? what is the range of P-RNTI ?

Using this UE finds decodes PDCCH. If he finds paging data is there then he takes the resource info and extract data from PDSCH.

P-RNTI, and SI-RNTI is having fixed values and UE know those values by default. P-RNTI value is FFFE and SI-RNTI value is FFFF
